Privacy Notice (KVKK)

This Privacy Notice has been prepared by Duray Rent a Car in its capacity as data controller under Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 ("KVKK"). Our aim is to inform you about the purposes for which your personal data is processed, to whom it may be transferred, and the rights you have under Article 11 of the KVKK.

1. Data Controller

2. Personal Data Processed

• Identity data: full name, national ID or passport number, date of birth.
• Contact data: phone, e-mail, address.
• Customer transaction data: reservation, contract, payment and invoicing details.
• Driving licence data: licence class, document number and validity information.
• Transaction security data: IP address, cookies and site usage records.

3. Purposes of Processing Personal Data

Your data is processed for the following purposes:

• Establishing and performing the car rental agreement.
• Carrying out reservation, handover and return processes.
• Performing finance, accounting and invoicing operations.
• Fulfilling legal obligations and providing information to authorised institutions.
• Evaluating requests, suggestions and complaints; managing customer relations.

4. Legal Grounds for Processing

Your personal data is processed on the legal grounds set out in Article 5 of the KVKK: necessity for the establishment or performance of a contract, fulfilment of the data controller's legal obligation, establishment and protection of a right, and legitimate interest. Where explicit consent is required, processing takes place only within the scope of your consent.

5. Transfer of Personal Data

Your data may be transferred to authorised public institutions within the framework of legal obligations, to banks and payment institutions during the payment process, and to the insurance and roadside assistance partners we work with, under the conditions set out in Articles 8 and 9 of the KVKK. Your data is not transferred abroad.

6. Method of Data Collection

Your personal data is collected by automated and non-automated means through our website, call centre, WhatsApp line, forms completed at our terminal office and signed contracts.

7. Rights of the Data Subject (KVKK Art. 11)

Under Article 11 of the KVKK you have the right to learn whether your personal data is being processed, to request information if it has been, to learn the purpose of processing and whether it is used in line with that purpose, to request the correction of incomplete or incorrectly processed data, to request its deletion or destruction, and to claim compensation if you suffer loss because processing was unlawful.

8. How to Apply

You can submit requests relating to the rights above, together with information verifying your identity, by e-mail to [email protected] or in writing to our terminal office. Your applications are concluded free of charge within 30 days at the latest, depending on the nature of the request.
